“I thoroughly disapprove of duels. I consider them unwise and I know they are dangerous. Also, sinful. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet retired spot and kill him.”
– mark twain
1 Can we make it 10am-ish? Dawn is really early, and I make it a rule to never duel unless I first have a cup of joe…and stretched a bit.

French dueling pistols from the early 19th century in their original display case. These percussion pistols are in superb condition and are offered in their fitted walnut box, equipped with all necessary components, making them operational. The matching pistols have octagonal barrels with hand carved designs. These barrels rest within a walnut stock accented by a lock plate, cock, butt cap & trigger guard all featuring the design of swirling leaf plumes.
