Yes, he was a great actor and won an Academy Award, but Paul Newman was the real deal when it came to driving the absolute hell out of a race car. Not bad for a guy who didn’t start racing until he was age 47. Newman would go on to to take second at Le Mans and own several world-class racing teams.
