Le Mans (National General, 1971). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11″ X 14″).
This lot presents an almost never seen opportunity to own the complete lobby card set for this exceptional racing film starring Steve McQueen, known to be an avid racer outside of his acting career. Filmed during the real Le Mans race of 1970, it featured plenty of fast-paced action using cars painted to look like the real competitors in the closeup shots. McQueen plays driver Michael Delaney who is out to prove that he has what it takes to win, and who falls for the widow (Lisa Belgetti) of one of his former opponents. Making this an even better find, the lobby cards only show small light stains in the left border and one in the top right corner. Very Fine. Estimate: $600 – $1,000.
