For the past couple of years, Trevor Traynor has been documenting the lowrider culture. His approach, to shoot the drivers and the cars in a way that transcends the typical stereotype portrayed by even its own media.
“Typically you see the cars and perhaps a woman in a bathing suit in lowrider magazines. I wanted to focus on the car clubs and communities. It’s very family-based, and it was important to me to showcase the driver as well as the car”
