I’m not sure when I first spotted AN-BU motorcycles. I know for a fact it wasn’t love at first sight. It took a few glimpses before I realized I was an AN-BU groupie. (AN-BUians is what we like to be called). I think what finally did it for me was the design of their fairings. What mad-man dreams up a fairing like this? And that one-eyed off-set tiny headlamp…that kind of design detail just slays me.
But here’s the rub, it’s a love-hate thing. I can never find large images of all of their bikes to get up close details of their bikes. It’s like trying to understand the words to certain Stones’ songs – you just give up and admit it’s got a great Richard’s lick, and who gives a damn about Mick’s lyrics anyways. Just let the art flow over you as they say. Yes, there’s a few large images on AN-BU’s homepage, but after that…nothing…nada…bagel. I get AN-BU’s RSS feed, and every month or so, a new post arrives and I click on an image…hoping against hope that this time they’ll have posted something larger than postage stamp. But no, every damn time…postage stamp! And just try to do a Google image search for AN-BU bikes – it’s a postal avalanche.
But today, a day that will go down in infamy…I discovered StreetRide Japan. And along with it – a treasure trove of large images of AN-BU motorcycles! Are they the lastest builds…sadly no. But who cares…it’s raining motherf*cking-beautiful-ginormous-AN-BU-ian-photos in this digital house yo! (I seriously need to get over the end of Breaking Bad).
